    Seat re-modelling - suggestions please

    Hi all

I'm trying to find a quality seat re-modeller somewhere in the UK, preferably near to me (between Stevenage & Bedford) and hoping someone has a recommendation, preferably from personal experience.

It's for my 01 VFR800 and ideally I'd like the seat converted to solo, with extra comfort for my bum and a fitting that allows the rear hump to fit.

    Can anyone help?   :031:
    98 VFR800 - 130,000 miles, 08 VFR800 - 76,000 miles, 15 VFR800X - 44,000 miles (all sold)
    14 VFR1200 - 20,000 miles
    18 VFR800X - 16,000 miles
    01 VFR800 Fi-1 - 9000 miles

TONY ARCHER in Huddersfield is highly recommended. Did my Crosstourer seat a few years ago., lowered by 20mm, gel pad fitted and colour matched restitching with original cover, £100 total including return by courier. I took it to him seat in the car but he will arrange collection. He is renowned in remoulding bike seats and refitting sports and classic car upholstery.

    Fantastic job at great price.

+1 for Tony Archer.  He did a great job on my VFR800 FiX a number of years ago.
Back then he had no on line presence and you contacted him by phone, and with some difficulty as he spent an awful lot of time working on seats. I suspect his operation has expanded a fair bit, so these days you may not be getting a seat made by his hand, but I have never heard a complaint about the quality of his product.

I believe TONY ARCHER'S son is now running the business. He has worked with TONY for many years and the family business is in a small workshop and all done by hand on site.

I might need to take a run up to see them. I've been looking at Top Sellerie and they look very nice indeed.

That does look good. And they do a service where you send your old seat in after they have supplied you with your new one so Yr not off the road at all.
