DO YOU HAVE A HUGGER FITTED?
« on: June 02, 2012, 02:17:44 PM »
I am always keen to learn from the experience of others so I would like to ask if you have a hugger fitted and if so how satisfied you are with it regarding fitting build quality and efficiency.
Any comments are more than welcome

Hi Rocker. Like you I haven't had one fitted but would be keen to do so and would like to hear from anyone who has. Also a down extension ( no - not duck down) to the front mudguard. Having typed that I think there may have been mention of a mudguard extension in a previous post. I'll check.

Have got a skidmarx hugger fitted about 3 weeks ago - u can view it when we meet up uorns. I have just come back from 2700 mile euro trip in all weathers and will be taking a good look at the bike over next day or two - including inspection of the hugger to see how it has stood up to it. Will post up comments.

How do they keep the open side from hitting the tire on bumps?  It's rigid enough not to flex?
I wouldn't mind having one myself, I'd like it to be as matte black as the original if possible...

Got my Skidmarks Hugger this week, and mounting is a breeze. Looks very slick.

Yeah, looks good to me except for it's glossy...  Might go great with a black CR which has some black glossy surfaces, but not with my white one - all the black parts are matte...  Have to see if this is easily paintable with either a transparent mat clear or black...  I'd like it to be visible but not call too much attention to itself...
