I did something stupid today.
« on: July 09, 2012, 05:15:04 PM »
Due to the fact that our street was due to be without electricity for most of today I decided to take the CR down to Hastings and get a fish& chip lunch. As I was still likely to arrive home before the expected restoration of power I thought I would pop into the local Triumph dealer to pass a bit of time. after a short chat with salesman I found myself taking the Tiger 800 for a test ride. To my surprise I have to admit the ride left me with cause for thought

rocker. im sure the warranty issues, recalls, reliability and lack of dealer support would also give you something to think about too

It certainly felt that way to me until of course the CR hits the V-TEC zone

I bought a brand new Tiger 800XC last March (2011) when they first came out ----sold it in July!!
I found the screen RUBBISH as it pushes the wind straight into your face, also you have to like the looks and after a month or so I decided i DIDNT ! I know its daft but I go into the garage every now and again just to admire the looks of my bikes, I wasnt doing that with the Triumph!
Its a nice bike but in my opinion (and I know everyone is different) the CR is better in all respects.
