Peaks and Lake District
« on: July 22, 2012, 08:00:22 PM »
Weather permitting am going to Peaks next friday afternoon, camp overnight, on to Lakes Saturday am land meet some guys I know from around the country. Saturday PM and evening will be chill, chat,  beer and eats @ Wasdale Head. Sunday - ride out round the lakes and then monday come home via Yorks dales (Hawes etc). Have not been camping for a long time so am a bit nervous. Anybody else in that direction next weekend??

Think Paul is talking about a different forum there Slidy - but am sure you would be welcome and that he will let you have the details. Its 22nd Sept I think and could be the VFR800 group.

sounds a great weekend joe.  shame about the inclemant weather.
you should have camped at the site we regularly use at wardlow instead of edale on way back.
you could have had a hearty meal n a cooked full english across road next morning.
so how did the camping go ?
you fancy the shrops meet ?

glad you had a good time, shame the weather couldn't have been better.

Real class ordering a takeaway to be delivered to a pub  :152:, I was expecting you to say it was delivered to the field you were camping in, visions of the delivery guy trying to find you  :008:

Wrynose and Hardknott on my list of to do's, they look better than Applecross.

Wrynose and Hardknott are certainly more technical than Applecross. I last did them on a hired Royal Enfield and really enjoyed it
