Over on the VFR forum there is lots of chatter re the above, replacement, alternative mods etc. Q is, has the X got a different part fitted or is this a potential future problem?
Also, where is it? I have a VFR Haynes manual, but have yet to have the panels off the X so haven't actually seen it yet.

the vtec doesnt suffer reg probs or rarely. its the previous 800 fiy / fix that does.

the vtec achillies heel is the stator.  and generally its high mileage
