Hi All

Good evening.
After carefull consideration, I finally Picked up my CR, New in Red. I wanted used one first, but dealer offered a deal i could not walk away.
Here is what I like so about it so far.
-Smooth no vibrations
-Very slim for traffic jams.
-Reliable machine, with lots of character.
-Commuter bike that I can remove top box on nice Sunny days and have lots of fun.
Not so happy with bits are.
-Motorway speeds winds requires a lot of energy due to small screen.
-Poor lighting.(needs additional lights fitted)
-Why on earth did MR Honda decided to mess with switch gear button layout.
-Greedy Honda wants crazy money centre stand.
-Mr Honda Could have given us a bigger dash. Very hard to see information on LCD screen including speed.
-Pegs too hi just a bit.
Bits fitted by very helpful dealer before I collected are.
Givi Top box with rack(I dont like Honda top boxes.)
Honda 360 grip heater.
Scottoiler Esystem.
I am looking forward adding the following bits
-Pyramid Belly pan(when released for sale)
-Taller screen
-Fender extender
-Rear hugger/chain guard combo.
-Some kind of smart phone holder or full satnav if it does not cost huge money.
-Road legal end Can.(the quietest available, don't want to disturb next-door houses)
-Power Commander(if it does not invalidate my Warranty).
Best Regards

Headlights not bad. Probably set too high. Also osram night breakers improve matters

So you took the plunge. Welcome and hope you enjoy. I've noted your initial concerns. I'm sure they will recede. After 15 months with mine and a few thousand miles I have no problem (wind protection) with motorway long distance at about 80mph and although at first the footrests seemed a little high I don't now notice it. The engine is a peach and the bike is so effective whether it's in congested traffic or open road. Not sure as to the point about unclear info. Yes - rev reading is unclear but how necessary is it? Speed couldn't be more clearer.
For me - it's still a good looking, comfortable, very capable do anthing (almost) bike.
It will grow on you.

If you're still looking for a centre stand, I just found this one on ebay:

Hi All
Other than Honda cutting some corners on few bit on CR creation, I think it is really going to very very very mission impossible to find a replacement bike in the near future.
Now waiting Engine run in safely, 175Miles since I collected it.
I have been keeping revs under 5k, and avoiding hard eccelation, also keeping gear as high as possible within reason.
Perfect city riding bike me thinks so.
