Rear Suspension setting
on:
April 13, 2013, 11:42:32 PM
Hello Crossrunners, I need some advice to set up the rear suspension, can anyone advise witch is the best compromise setting for it. I find it very hard in bumpy roads, my weight is 80 kg.
Thanks in advance

Hello I've got the same problem, my Honda CR is very hard. Can I do something with it?

Are you sure you mean hard as opposed to soft with little rebound damping?
If the bike kicks you in the arse going over bumps it's rebounding too fast.
Try half a turn, instructions as per owners manual.

Wedge - had same problem and adjusted per your instruction - great improvement!
Found the manual counter intuitive but now following it and your comment works well. The feedback into the handlebars is also much more reasonable. Thinking now that with only 1 turn on the rebound, how long will this damper damp!
Good to have experience here!

If you adjusted that direction and it's better, it's just a case
of whether it's now good enough or needs a further tweak
I would say f you're now happy, leave well alone...
I ended up using a full turn and one click more preload but
then I'm a heavy chap and carry luggage.
