I fitted one to my CBF and think it's called the diagnostic socket (DS)??

I think you've made a good choice of GPI, being plug in without cutting any wires.
I don't know where it is on the CR but to give a clue, on the CBF it wasn't just an empty socket, it had a dummy plugged in, so looked like an 'in use' connector.

this is the GPI-DS connected on my CBF (tank was raised to see this).
I think the dummy connector is the empty red bit behind.

I think it's the red, empty, socket under the seat.

Yeah you guys are spot on.  To the right of the battery just behind the fuse box is an innocent looking red connector clipped neatly in place. Remove it and hey presto there's the DC.  Plugged in the GIPro and its working a treat!
