Advice by oldies to newbies

Hi.
Hoping to be a proper member very soon. I currently own a honda hornet and am about to place my order.
1. Any opinions on changing the original exaust? I changed it on my hornet with an Akrapovic and i am very happy.
2. Does anyone know if there are any facelifts/upgrades on the way?
I will appreciate any valuable comments.

do you know about the model year 2013 change to footpeg position?
pegs have been moved down a little and forward a lot.
If this matters to you then make sure you're getting a 2013 model.
Seat covering is more 'sticky' too.
