Mitta Mitta Ride
on: November 04, 2013, 10:08:13 AM
Did a nice 1350km run on the weekend. From Dargo up the Dargo High Plains Road to Mt Hotham. Good dirt/gravel. Then over Mt Hotham to Omeo and on to Anglers Rest over night. Next day we did the full length of Omeo-Mitta Mitta Road.  Awesome curvy road with some dirt. Will be fully sealed by Christmas though. Swung past Dartmouth dam before looping back to Harrietville. Lots of drinks and music at pub there. Woke up to a flat rear (2nd in 3000km). Thankfully gooey string patched the tyre and kept rolling. Finished by riding home via Hotham and Bairnsdale.
A few things...my Heyner pump and gooey string kit are life savers....and the Crossrunner will match it with anything on a curvy road.
If you are in Victoria...try this loop. Especially Omeo Mitta Road.
Great fun.
