Radar Detector mounting
on: May 08, 2014, 04:43:42 PM

Hi,

I have a radar detector (Valentine V1)  I wanted to mount, but without having to forego the handlebar shroud..

Has anyone done this?

I removed the shroud to fit a Ram ball to the lower bracket, I actually prefer the plastic bar shroud removed - it looks less 'scooterish' so might be worth a go

Good point, I will at least see what it looks like without the shroud... BUT if you use that ball mount,  for the radar to work it would have to sit on an extension arm so long to clear the instrument cluster that it would end up obstructing the instruments?

Hi, I use the ball mount for sat nav, however I have it placed on a long arm but so the top of the 'nav is just below the clocks.

It may allow you to mount higher up on the bars??
