Morning all
About to change my oe scorpions for PR4's. I'm assuming it's the Trail version that suits the CR? Anyone advise?
Cheers.....

I fitted a pair of standard PR4's last year, and they are the best yet. Can't advise on the Trail version, but I suppose it all depends how much green laning or off roading you do. If like me, the vast majority of your riding is on tarmac, I'd get standard road tyres.

Thanks for that.
Riding will be 100% on-road. Michelin website states both standard & trail are 100% on-road so unsure of benefit of the trail option!
Cheers...

I have the Metzler Tourance Next now on the CR... Good for corners... Trail not so good IMO... Although it is suppose to be a semi-off road tire...

Thanks for that.
Enquired with Michelin UK about their recommendation & turns out only the Standard PR4's are available for the CR. Trail version is available for the Crosstourer.
So Standard it is

yes it's to do with the sizes the tyres come in. The trail suffix means the tyres are for 'adventure' sizes.
eg. my Tiger800 has PR4 trails, sizes 110/80R19 & 150/70R17,
whereas Xrunner 120/70R17 & 180/55R17 need to be std PR4's.
The trails are V rated and the std are W rated.
Tiger800 had Scorpions on like the Xrunner, and changing to PR4's was a good move!
